The Asian Blue™ bird was originally selected to meet the needs of the Asian market in the USA. Combining the dark colored meat of the Silky chicken with the irridescent black and blue/green feathers and tall appearance of what we call a 'yard fowl' in the Caribbean, the Asian Blue performs well as a slow-growing broiler and pasture farmed egg layer while also being a stunning bird in appearance. Asian Blue chicks are not debeaked unless requested, are sold as 'straight run' with no separation of male and female chicks.
