Export
PLACING AN ORDER Â
We export our chicks and poultry products throughout the Caribbean, from Trinidad in the south to Tortola in the north. Customers are invited to requests quotes though our online form. One of our sales representatives will reach out to you to confirm your acceptance of the quote, and the terms of payment and delivery.
PAYING FOR YOUR ORDERÂ Â
Once you have reviewed our quote and are satisfied with our offer, we require a deposit equivalent to 50% of the value of the quote as a confirmation to proceed with the production of day old chicks. This deposit turns your quote into an order with an approximate 6 week window from deposit to delivery, allowing for supply logistics and incubation of the eggs.
BEFORE CHICKS ARE SHIPPEDÂ Â
After confirming your order, we request that you forward copies of the import permits which you will need to obtain for clearing your shipment. We will process the  'Certificate of Origin' documents in Barbados (required by some Islands to avoid tarrifs on extra-regional products), we will arrange air freight scheduling and the Air Waybill, and we will handle all Barbados customs requirements. On the day of hatch, our local Government veterinary team will inspect the chicks and issue a Health Certificate which is mandatory for export from Barbados and import to your Island. Other than the Barbados Health Certificate, we require all documents be in place at least 48 hours before the flight for regulatory clearance.
Due to the logistics involved in planning and executing air freight shipments of day old chicks, we respectfully require that all invoices be paid in full 7 days before the expected ship date. Arrangements for flights will only be finalized on receipt of full payment, and as it is a 7 day process, we can only ship 7 days after payment is received.
DELIVERY DAYÂ Â
Before the day of the flight we will have confirmed the flight number and estimated arrival time, which will be shared with you. Weather and other unexpected events may delay flight schedules, we offer no guarantee against schedule changes that are outside of our control. All required documentation for clearing the chicks will have been sent to you for your broker to clear on your behalf. All brokering fees and additional fees incurred at your airport are your financial responsibility - Gale's Agro Products accepts no liability for any expenses incurred beyond those described in your sales agreement.
If you receive your chicks with unexpected mortality (more than 2%) please notify us immediately. No claim shall be honored for shipping mortality reported more than 24 hours after arrival. Reports can be submitted though our online vet submission form.
