Poultry farming requires close monitoring of house and litter temperatures. Cold chicks will huddle and suffocate, hot adult broilers will not eat and may die of heat stress.
Follow temperature guidelines in poultry mamagement guides, by monitoring and adjusting ventilation or heating when your birds are not in their comfort zone.
Simply scan the surface of the litter or house floor, hold down the trigger of the IR thermometer gun, and release to get live temperature readings anywhere between -58ºF and 1112ºF (-50ºC and 600ºC).
For the most accurate results, the device should be 14" away from the object during measurement.
